RULES AND REGULATIONS
Management of fishing and fishing rules is very important to us, and we must all help to protect the local wild salmon and trout stock that the river possesses. Therefore, only CR (Catch and release) of all fish is recommended, with the exception of damaged fish that will not be able to survive a release.
As a guest of Todalshytta, you can keep 1 salmon and 1 sea trout in one week if preferable, and 2 CR per day applies. Killed fish are presented on request.
All fishermen must have paid the Norwegian state fishing fee for fishing for salmon, sea trout and sea trout. A valid receipt for the fee paid must be brought during the fishing
Todalshytta's fishing starts on Saturdays at 01.00PM, and if you fish all week, fishing ends next Saturday at. 06.00.AM
Knot-free nets will be deployed in many strategic locations, and fishermen must have hook removers available at all times. The fish should be netted and not taken out of the water or lifted by the tail. To estimate weight, you can measure the length of the fish with the tape you have brought or use the rod as an approx. goal.
Extraordinary measures
Protection or change of fishing rules can be implemented with immediate effect at any time during the season, if situations arise that indicate this. Every season there are mid-summer evaluation of the river to make sure we have enough spawning pair of fish.
